Mr. Budd has been President of Monashee Capital Corp. since 2003. He was previously managing partner of Parian Capital Partners.

Mr. Budd was previously a Senior Officer and Vice President of Methanex Corp. Over a 10-year period he gained strong operating and financial experience assisting the development of Methanex into the global leader in methanol production and sales.

The diversity of his roles included Vice President, Corporate Development with responsibility for leading transaction and capital markets activities; Vice President, Business Development; Director of Manufacturing; Director Investor Relations and Corporate Communications; Manager, Global Marketing and Logistics; Director, Ocelot Ammonia Company; and Corporate Development Executive, CEO’s group. Prior to Methanex, he was with Timminco Limited where he had various international sales and marketing roles in specialty metals and adhesives.

Mr. Budd offers a strong track record of results in operations, manufacturing and sales leadership and negotiating transactions. He also sits on a number of advisory boards and vboards of directors.

Mr. Budd is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and received a B.A.Sc. (Honors) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA through studies at the University of British Columbia and the London Business School in the UK. He has also completed advanced management programs through Mahler Executive Leadership, the Center for Creative Leadership, Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Harvard Business School.
